The characters are one of the most exciting parts of the Edge of Eventide Dramatic Campaign. Their design is integral to the plot, their back story is the story of the campaign. This means that I can also include rules and new game material pertinent to each individual character. As we get ever closer to the first release, I am hoping to show off some of that material, giving you a sense of what you can expect from the Edge of Eventide.
First off, I am giving you a look at Leylinia, the elven cleric in the group. One of the things that makes her so special is that she is a that she is from a new subrace of elves, the Cenasar. The Cenasar are elves who share a bond with the passing seasons, gaining special abilities and resistances based on the time of year. This bond even influences their appearance. Looking at Leylinia, for example, it is pretty apparent that the first adventure is set in autumn.

I hope you enjoy these previews. If you have any questions or comments, please leave them below and thank you for supporting the Edge of Eventide.
As we get ever closer to the release of the first adventure in the Edge of Eventide dramatic campaign, I want to give you a closer look at the player characters, starting with the art!
Lance Red has done an amazing job with these characters, using both their physical description and some information about their personality and backstory to create these illustrations. For example, Renmar and Leylinia are happily married and you can see elements of their bond in their gear. Renmar even keep a charm bearing Leylinia’s holy symbol on his bow. Little touches like this are what make these characters truly special.
Help Me Decide Who to Show off First!
The illustrations above are the black and white under-paintings of these characters, whereas the finals will be in glorious color. That is where you come in. I can’t decide which one to show off first. So I want you to tell me which one of these characters you are most excited about. From left to right, they are Valtirus, Faultier, Caeth, Leylinia, Renmar, and Karwyn.
Vote on your favorite and I will debut that character’s full color art and basic profile on Wednesday, November 23rd!

Thanks to the support of over 50 backers on Patreon, I am busy writing the Edge of Eventide Dramatic Campaign! As of this posting, the Player Characters are in their second round of design and the overall plot of the campaign is going through a number of drafts as its approaches its final form. Excitingly, the first adventure in Arc 1 is starting to come together as well!
Backers over on Patreon have been getting an early look at some of this material, including the first adventure description, an early draft of Valtirus’ Character Portrait, and more. Although you can expect to see some of this material here, backers are invited to give their feedback and learn a lot more about the process by which the Edge of Eventide is created!
In the coming weeks, the first adventure will go into writing, along with the Player’s Guide, GM’s Guide, and the Aubenglade Gazetteer. Backers will get to see early drafts of this material before anyone else. In addition, the sketches for all 6 player characters have arrived. Supporters of the project will get a look at these before they are made final as well!
In addition to the great things going on at the Patreon site, this portal will be getting a lot of new content in the coming weeks. Expect to see an entire section for Eventide players, covering each of the available character in some detail (spoiler free of course). Game Masters will details on the tone and theme of the campaign as well as the first adventure description!
Sounds of Eventide
After talking with the folks over at Syrinscape, they have agreed to make all of the unique sounds created for the Edge of Eventide FREE to supporters of the Patreon. If we hit the $3,000 goal, all of the sound sets will go out to backers at no charge. If you have not given Syrinscape a try, I cannot recommend it highly enough. It is the premier way to add sounds to your game!

Six flawed heroes set out to complete a quest started long ago. A quest that they failed. A quest that cost them the life of a dear friend. That dreadful day ended their fellowship, scattering their number. While some left to find their fortune, others ran to forget their past. Only the pact remained. A pact to reunite to make amends for their failure. A pact to meet again at the Edge of Eventide.
